Community Dialogue Project

Engage with CDP

Develop skills and strategies for effectively engaging with others.

The Community Dialogue Project (CDP) initiatives advance the development of skills and strategies for engaging with issues that affect the Brown community and equip community members to engage productively in difficult conversations and relationship-building around challenging topics.

Students, faculty and staff can partner with the CDP through numerous pathways, including participating in training modules; train-the-trainer models; ongoing in-service training; ongoing coaching for those advising student employees and leaders; upon-request workshops and direct services; and workshops targeting professional development.

By engaging with the Community Dialogue Project, participants:

  1. Build self-awareness
  2. Improve relationships
  3. Promote inclusivity
  4. Incorporate dialogue
  5. Increase confidence to continue dialogue in other environments
The Community Dialogue Project supports students, faculty, and staff in building dialogue and listening skills by offering interactive training modules.
Undergraduate, graduate, and medical students experience the Community Dialogue Project through a variety of engagement opportunities and training programs designed to build skills in communication, conflict resolution, and community-building.
